Not available in your country

I just bought Norton mobile because the anti-theft feature.  When I try to use it, I had to download a free plug-in.  The problem is that google play says that this download isn't available for my country (chile).

I need a solution, because the mainly feature that made me buy the software not work in my country.  I read all the info about the app before download, and it didn't say it won't work outside US.  And because the app is not selled by Google play, I can't get my money back.

Very disappointed.

Hi RaulMaria

Welcome to the Norton Communtiy Forum.:smileyhappy:

Are you trying to install just the Norton Anti-Theft product purchased from the

Norton Online Store for your Android device..?

Or are you trying to download and install the free Norton Anti-Theft plugin for

the paid full version of Norton Mobile Security.?

Cheers. :smileywink:

Hi again

Looking at the US Norton Online Store i see going thru the checkout that Chile

certainly is one of the countries listed to fill out the details for the purchase of

NAT ( Norton Anti-Theft).

But looking at the Norton Online Store for Chile i see it seems like there is not a

NAT product in the Norton products available.

So there may  be a issue where NAT is not available to be used in Chile. :-(

Which i would agree is disappointing for the user wanting to purchase a Symantec

Norton product from the US store.

But that is where Symantec has a different Online Store  for all the different countries

that the products go to. Some countries have access to products that others do not.

If you purchased NAT from the Norton Online Store you can get a refund within 60

days of the purchase.

You can contact Norton Support Live chat for free and the helpful staff will assist

you with this issue.

Click on this link for Norton Support Live Chat for free.

Follow the steps and fill in the required information and details then select Live Chat..

Another thing i found is Norton Mobile Security appears to be available to Chile from

the Google Play Store going by the info supplied in Norton Mobile and Tablet KB Forum

but it appears from what you say NAT is not.

Let us know how you go.

Cheers. :smileywink:

Hi,

I bought a license of Norton 360 a couple of days ago, because it came pre installed on my notebook.  Once the program was installed,it suggested buying norton mobile security using a QR code.  I scanned the QR code, that took me to google play to download the app (which was free).  Once the app was installed, it suggested to buy a license to unlock several features, and I did.  Then, one button appeared saying that I was entitled to download the free Anti Theft plugging.  I accepted and was redirected to google apps, obtaining the message that the app was not available in my country.  So from Whom did I buy the app?, and who can get me a refund ?.  At this point, I don't know if I purchase the app from Google Play of from Norton.

Hi RaulMaria

It sounds like the purchase was thru the Google Play store, being the

the in app upgrade from the free version  to the  paid full  version  of

Norton Mobile Security. And when installed allows the user to dwonload

and install for free the plugin Norton Anti-Theft which in your case is not

compatible with the country of Chile.

So you should have been sent a Gmail email being a Google Play order receipt

for the NMS (Norton Mobile Security) upgrade to the paid version.

This is what you would need in order to get a refund from Symantec Norton.

Contact Norton Support Live Chat from this link and explain your issue with

Norton Anti-Theft not being compatible with your region and i am sure they

will refund your purchase of the upgrade to the full paid version of Norton

Mobile Security.

NOTE- They will only proceed with a refund on a purchase which has been

made in the last 60 days.

So make sure you have the Gmail email from the Google Play Store receipt

and get in touch with Norton Support.

Let us know how you go.:smileyhappy:
