I have the latest v of A-V 2014 on a Vista laptop that I rarely use. All Windows hotfixes and SPs are current also. I know it isn't infected because I can run a full scan in Safe Mode and Norton doesn't find a thing. Same scanning with Malwarebytes. I read previous posts (fall of 2013) about A-V 2014 hangs and the only resolution was to revert to A-V 2013. I could add W32.SillyDC to the ignore list or try to reinstall the current version, however, there seems to be license issues and more hoops to jump through reinstallng. The constant "Your PC needs tto be scanned..." red X is quite annoying. Thnk you for any imput!
It does prompt "Fix Now!" I update it before the starting the scan. On the desktop at the moment but I'm reasonably sure time zone is correct. Thank you!

I used the Remove - Install tool and the icon is green. YAY! Not in the mood to try a scan though so I shall quit while I'm ahead!
