1. it is NOT logging her out like it should. She can stay on past time that i set for her to NOT be able to be online.

2. That is correct, I know she wasnt logged on, I was awake on my pc, and she was in the bed with my wife.

I have had this same issue. I have one adult account and three kids accounts.

1) Two of my kids have been on the computer more than the allowed 2 hours a day. Both times I had to kick my kids off after noticing they were on longer than the allowed time limit. I rebooted the computer immediately.

2) On the web site, I see all the time, log off and login notices for all three children, times when I know they are in bed. My youngest (5 yrs/old) has been reported as logging in around 2am and 4am. She's on the top floor and the computer is in the basement. My other two sons have also had similar reportings.

Hi cwatson2141 and Hawkeye64,

So is anyone using the PC or no one is using it at 4am (I unerstand the kid is not using the PC at the time).

Thanks,

Katie

No one was logged onto the pc. everyone was asleep but me.

Same with me. No one was using the PC.

Also, I have seen entries show up from the kids days later. I saw this when we were on vacation, and, of course, no one was on the PC back home (well, maybe the cats :))

Hi cwatson2141 and Hawkeye64,

1. What version of Norton Safety Minder do you have on the PC?

2. After you reboot the PC, does it correct the issue that the kid is not logged out of the PC after the time limitation is reached?

3. For the issue with getting web activities logged when no one is using the PC, please check the link below to see if it applies to you.

Hawkeye64, for your smart cats, maybe it's not a a bad idea to create accounts for them and monitor their online activities:smileyhappy:.

Thanks,

Katie

Safety Minder Version: 1.2.0.39

Online Framework Version:  1.2.0.53

Online Datastore Version: 1.2.0.53

Yes, after you reboot, the problem goes away immediately, but eventually comes back over time. I suppose if we rebooted nightly, this issue probably wouldn't occur.

Also note, the default browser set up on this computer is Google Chrome. I did this after the kids complained about IE being so slow. I tested Chrome and found it incredibly fast. Occasionally, the kids have to load IE when the site doesn't appear to work correctly (for instance, when it has an ActiveX component).

Hi Hawkeye64,

The program is supported on browser IE and Firefox.  For details, please check the link below.

We just released Nonton Safety Minder 1.2.0.39 yesterday, could you check again if you still experience the issue if using IE or Firefox?

Thanks,

Katie

does the safety minder update automatically do I need to reinstall or what??

cwatson2141,

You're right.  Norton Safety Minder gets updated automatically.  Please check the message here for details.
