Not Meeting Expectations with 3.5.2.11 Rollout

Symantec (AstroVet) created an expectation when (on 8/31) he said, "over the course of the next few days we expect to have the patch fully deployed to all connected customers".

Judging by comments here and on the NIS forum a large number of people don't have the latest version yet and aren't happy about it. So, it really comes down to what does a "few days" mean. To me it means 3 or 4 days. We're at 6 days now. Tomorrow it will be a week (definitely more than a few days). There would be a lot less noise and customer frustration if AstroVet had said somethng like; "within 2 weeks", or by September XX" .

Ok, someone from Symantec, please put a boundry on when we can expect everyone that routinely uses NIS and 360 to have the new patched versions. It will reduce the negative noise on these forums and go some way  to satisfying rather than annoying many of your customers.

I agree with Geneintexas.

I had to uninstall my N360 and Install NIS 2010 Beta, to get something compatible with Windows 7600 and firefox 3.5.2. The MOST annoying part is that my netbook is running 3.5.2.10 and my laptop that i use mostly is using 3.0.0.15 :s... How is this possible? lol...

A Norton employee (jensm) has stated over on the NIS board that the rollout of 3.5.2.11 should be completed by Sept 11. Here's the link to that post:

This is a big step forward in communicating the situation. Thank you jensm . The timing information needs to be added to the Symantec stickies at the top of the NIS and 360 forums.

2 of my 3 computers received 3.5.2.11 today. Hopefully the pace of the rollout is accelerating.
