"FInally solved my own problem by poking around. For some breathtakingly dumb reason, if--from the recovery environment--you browse your recovery points by "Date", the default option, and select a recovery point, Ghost does NOT give you the Recovery Options. And if you want, for example, to restore the MBR you cannot do so. It skips right past that step and only shows you the default options that it has selected for you.
But, if you browse by selecting the Filename option, and select the very same recovery point you can see in the default "Date" view, it will then run you through a series of screens to select the Recovery Options.
Why the default "view" would hide the options from you, I have NO idea. I am though, at last, happily running on a new drive and returned to NAV 2008 which works and plays well with Ghost 14."
