Hi.
I recently bought an NIS 2013 key on eBay as my subscription was about to run out. I have bought legitimate keys on there in the past, but I'm not sure about my current subscription.
The user claims to be a "Symantec partner", if there is such a thing. The account is registered as a business account and all it sells are NIS product keys. I bought the key and it registered fine - no problems during activation, the correct number of days on the subscription and everything, but I kept getting emails from Norton telling me that my subscription had expired. I logged into my account to find that my key wasn't registered to my account.
If I click the Account link in the NIS 2013 client, it launches my browser and takes me to the login screen, but the email address field has someone else's email address in it.
The key was sent via email along with instructions on how to download the client from the Norton website, although I didn't follow those as I already had the client installed. Is it possible that the person bought the keys and is selling them legitimately or have I been scammed? If so, do I need to buy a new product key? Everything seems to work as it should, but I don't feel comfortable at the thought of using something illegitimately.
Thanks.
