I have Norton Internet Security 2012
For over a week now I have been getting notification of background tasks every 3-5 minutes + liveupdate is now also running every 3-5 minutes without changing any settings at all.
Yes I've rebooted. Yes I have the latest updates.
Endlessly long forums suggest that I must fix the problem by changing the notification setting off although the setting simply doesn't exist? Forums posts up to 2,3,4 years back have Norton staff promising this issue will be fixed in upcoming versions? Surely it's fixed by now???
Please help! Notifications every 3-5 minutes are driving me mad.
Why is it called a "BACKGROUND TASK" if I must be reminded of it happening every 3-5 minutes?
"BACKGROUND TASKS" should just happen in the BACKGROUND
