Issue abstract:Notifications scroll up to screen too slowly

Detailed description: Running 25.9.10453 (build 25.9.10453.0). Notifications scroll up onto the screen from the lower right corner too slowly, blocking what I’m doing for longer than necessary. Is there a way to speed up or stop the animation. If they just popped onto the screen it would be better and faster for me.

Product & version number: Norton 360 25.9.10453 (build 25.9.10453.0)

OS details: Windows 11 24H2 (26100.6584)

What is the error message you are seeing? No error.

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them: Just any notification bubble.

Hey, I had the same issue, those slow slide-in animations were super annoying. I couldn’t find a setting in Norton to speed them up, but what worked for me was turning off animation effects in Windows:

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Visual Effects, then toggle Animation effects to Off.
It makes all popups (including Norton ones) appear instantly. Helped a lot!

Thanks, Kevin! I had forgotten completely about that setting when I got a new computer with Win11. I usually set it to off, and it makes the GUI at least seem much more responsive. I just switched off the animations, and other normal Windows/Explorer activities seem much more snappy in performance. No Norton notifications yet, but I expect this has solved that problem. Much appreciated!

Sadly, this did not work. Those notifications still slide up terribly s l o w l y. I’ve turned off animations in the Windows 11 GUI, but no joy. Tried various Windows 11 settings related to notifications, but it looks like Norton uses its own system for displaying them, and I can’t find any Norton setting to control them.

I believe this is a problem with the Norton product.

Ah, that’s too bad, but thanks. Do you know whether this has been reported as a bug, or where I can check that? It’s really annoying.

I don’t know if this problem has already been reported here on the forum.

I only know that some people are experiencing this.
