There is no Nvidia problems cause I have a 9800GTX with the latest 178.13 drivers. Did you uninstall NAV 2008 first or did you do an over the top install of NAV 2009? What are you using for a firewall? Have you tried doing a complete uninstall of NAV 2009 using the Norton Removal Tool then try reinstalling NAV 2009? Its always best to uninstall your old software before installing any new software.
Hi kicenuik
Good advise from Dieselman743, however this is the link to get the latest version of the Norton Removal Tool, which should be used. Link.
Let us know how you go, thanks.
I did a complete removal using the Norton Removal tool. Then reinstalled the NAV2009. It still gave me the boot up problem. I am using Zone Alarm Pro for a firewall which had no problem for the 2008 version. This only started when I upgraded to the 2009 version.
i am running xp with ati graphic card as well, not sure which one at this time updated to 2009 sunday and on startup my computer locks up i also have zonealarm pro as my firewall

Check today's messages for one from Reese A, a Norton Staffer so name in Red, in which he confirms a problem in ZA that is causing conflicts with Norton.
He says ZA are working on this.
Hi
I've seen lots of Zone Alarm posts, on different forums this week.
I really don't think this is a NAV 09 problem.
I think it's a Zone Alarm problem
In the last 7 days...
It appears Zone Alarm has caused complete chaos ... Whatever - AntiVirus / AntiSpyware - People are using
AVG 8 .. Is another of Zone Alarms Victims!
Actually!
From reading different forums...
I'd say that ZA has been causing problems ( On & Off ) ... Since - March
I'm glad I don't use Zone Alarm
All of you need to be sure your using the latest version of Zone Alarm Pro firsft which is 8.0.020.000.
