NPE Has Successfully Restored Internet Connection Error - I've disabled the hub, now what?

I suspect to be infected with some malware associated with the website sucuresoft.info (Adware.Clkpotato!gen4) It is not reported by Norton IS but is reported by McAfee Security Scan Plus utility.

 

I have tried to run the Norton Power Eraser (and the Beta version too) but get the "Norton Power Eraser Has Successfully Restored Internet Connection Error"

 

I have disabled both the BT Home Hub 2 Firewall (and the Norton Smart Firewall too for good measure) and it does not help the situation. I have added the NPE log file. I am unable to supply a firewall log file as there is no facility on my router to provide this.

 

What is the solution?
