NPE with Norton 22.11.0.41 error

I've been trying to run NPE, but am receiving this error after reboot and it starts scanning:

Interesting. Are you running Windows 10? If so turn off fast boot and reboot. Re-check for your issue.

Thanks, but I've already done sfc /scannow - no issue. And I'm not going ANYWHERE near malwarebytes.

Hello RogerSnook, welcome to the forums. The error code you are seeing is related to Microsoft and related to incorrectly configured system files. I would first bring up an admin level command prompt and type in the following: sfc/scannow press enter and let the system check for corrupted or missing files.

And always as a second measure to ensure a system is clean download and run Malwarebytes. It is total free for 14 days. Your post suggests that you believe you may have an infection of some sort.
