I installed NS 2015 on my Android device and choose the option "lock when sim card is changed".
My Android device is a Samsung with Lollypop. Device is encrypted with a 6 letters alpha-numeric password. I registered this device to the Norton system and received a SMS code.
I removed the old sim card and put a new one. Then a Norton screen is asking me to put the password to unlock device. It's a screen with two yellow bars. The alpha-numeric password that I use normally cannot be inserted here beccause the on screen keyboard is actually only numeric. So I figured out that the password could be the SMS code.
I inserted the SMS code and it does not reject it. The screen becomes black. I pressed the on button of the tablet and I arrived at the normal unlocks screen for crypted android Samsung devices. But then here my normal password does not unlock the device and the SMS code does not unlock the devise either.
I tried without any sim card, with the old sim card and in the new one. Either solutions I cannot unlock the device.
So here I am with a crypted device that cannot be unlocked.. I don't think of any other password than the SMS code or the normal password that I have set on the device.
I believe that Norton for Android is possibly messing up with the password of the device. Maybe this is a problem only on crypted devices ?
It's a big problem for me beccause I am installing in Brazil and to use the device is very important for mobility.
If any of the Norton fellows or anybody can help I would appreciate.
