Hello.
I installed NSM on a freshly built PC about ~6 weeks ago. It worked great for about a month. About two weeks ago, NSM ceased logging about 95% of the browsing activity on this PC, and the only browser that even functioned was Chrome. Both IE and FF stopped displaying any web page, with the exception of the onlinefamily.norton.com domain. I'm unanable to even get to the Google home page unless I use Chrome.
The issue is specific to this particular PC, as the user is able to login to other PC's in the house on the same NSM account. The user can surf the web just fine, and their activity is monitored so long as the new PC is not used.
Late last week I set out to wipe the hard drive on the new PC, and do a fresh install of Win7. Once completed, I fully updated Windows, and installed Avast! antivirus. I installed both FF and Chrome and verified all three browsers on the PC functioned properly. I then installed and set up NSM, and tried all three browsers. Unfortunately, the same thing happened. The only browser that worked is Chrome.
After that, I uninstalled NSM from the PC, and now all three browsers work fine. Anyone have a clue what is going on here? I need to get NSM to run properly on this machine.
