Running Windows 10 with Norton Security Suite for Comcast and using Norton Identity Safe with Chrome browser. A number of weeks ago I noticed that Identity Safe would stop working. When I tried to open NSS nothing would happen. I needed to reboot to get everything working again. During the reboot I would see an error message:
"WatchThread: n360.exe - Application Error"
"The instruction at 0x0000000000000001 referenced memeroy at 0x0000000000000001. The memory could not be written."
I unistalled Norton using the Norton Removal Tool and reinstalled. This did not fix the problem. I contacted Norton Support via Chat and they did the same thing I did - twice. They said if this did not solve the issue then they would escalate to the "Senior Team". I tried to do the Chat thing a third time and requested it be immediately escalated. This resulted in a 30 minute wait for someone from the "Senior Team". So I've given up working with Norton.
This happened again yesterday. I opened up the resource monitor in Task Manager an noticed my CPU and Memory usage were maxed out at 100% and my hard disk was very active. I immediately rebooted and unistalled Norton and am using Windows Defender with Malwarebytes.
Any thoughts as to what is going on and how to fix?
