Norton Security Suite 5.1.0.29 includes four sections on the main screen, "PC Security," "Identity Protection," "Backup," and "PC Tuneup." After a new installation all four of these are listed with a status of "Protected." The "Backup" section reports that:
"You need to set up backup to protect your files from loss and disaster."
Clicking "View Details" confirms that "Backup" is listed with a "Status" of "Not configured." Since backup has not been configured it is not doing anything. How is it that not doing anything translates into a status of "Protected" in the main screen?
What other aspects is Norton reporting as "Protected" when in fact it is not doing anything at all?
