I just loaded NU Ultimate Ver. 24.2.16862.6344 and ran my first scan on a new Win 11 laptop. It came back with a registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node as obsolete and needing to be removed. The problem is that the NU window that pops up to tell me about the offending key isn’t big enough to display exactly which software package under the WOW6432Node is obsolete. Is there a way to make the window bigger so I can see the entire key name?
Hello. DO NOT allow NU to remove ANY entries in that area, the risk is your computer may be rendered not bootable or at the very least decreased functionality.

I figured that out by drilling down with Regedit to see what NU was talking about. The problem is that the display window that NU uses to displays the offending key (NU said was “obsolete”) isn’t big enough to display the entire key so I wasn’t sure exactly which app the key was for. Also, NU wouldn’t let me uncheck the “delete” box and I couldn’t close the window without proceeding (no cancel option).
My solution for you? Solve your issues with NU and get rid of it. Windows 11 isn’t an OS where some third party software should be alerting you that obviously required system files are outdated or obsolete. Windows updates does that for you. Windows also does a nice job of keeping itself clean without third party snake oil software messing things up to the point you cannot use your computer, have to reinstall and or lose your information and files in the process.
