My Norton Utilities Premium stated that the product did not expire until January 1, 2050.
Isn't Norton in violation of contract for disabling that product without notice and without my permission?

Norton used to offer the free subscription to Norton Utilities Premium, NUP, when you enabled Automatic Renewal for 360. This offer is no longer available, but if you purchased/renewed your 360 subscription just before Norton stopped this offer, your subscription may still get the benefit of this free offer. If this is the case, that is why you see the NUP subscription expiring in 2050. Norton had to plug in a date for the interface to display. But because the initial offer was not to expire, they chose a date far in the future.

Just be aware that if the above scenario for your 360 subscription renewal dates is what you have, when your subscription renews next time, the free NUP will not longer work. Even if you still have Automatic Renewal enabled.

Initially, there was no official notice that they were adding this 'bonus'. So, unfortunately, it is also not surprising that they did not make an official announcement on removing this bonus.

I believe that somewhere deep in the terms and conditions of the Norton product subscriptions, there is a section that covers that Norton may add or subtract features as they feel fit.

My Norton Utilities Premium stated that the product did not expire until January 1, 2050.  I have a screen shot of the program page.  Isn't Norton in violation of contract for disabling that product without notice and without my permission?

That message would indicate that your Norton Utilities Premium, NUP, needs to connect to a Norton server to verify that there is a valid subscription. If you were using the free bonus NUP Norton was offering for having Automatic Renewal enabled for your 360 subscription, that bonus has been discontinued. So to continue using Norton Utilities, you would have to purchase a subscription. Although the Premium version is no longer available, so you will have to upgrade to Norton Utilities Ultimate.
