Most of the day today, there was an "X" on the NIS icon in my systray. When I hovered over the icon, it said, "Offline". However, I was online all day!
Much later, perhaps after a reboot, the "X" was replaced with a check mark and "Offline" was replaced with "Norton Internet Security".
At some point today, I clicked on Support>Get Support in the NIS 2012 window and Norton AutoFix said it repaired my installation. The only detail I could find on this was:
Norton Internet Security
19.2.0.10
Error: 0, 0
Microsoft Windows XP
2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.101209-1647
Norton Autofix Results: 1 item(s)
Installation :: Success
Does anyone know exactly what was fixed?
Is this related to the problem of NIS 2012 saying it was "Offline"?
Thanks.
