Hello,
I am very new to Norton Ghost and am supporting a machine that has it installed. I have scoured the manual and the web to come up with answers to some questions but am stuck. I have three separate subjects so I'll post them separately.
The first subject is why does Ghost display old drives or duplicate drives in its drive list and show them as "Backed up"?
Since it won't let me attach a screen print, this is what shows when you click Advanced > Drives:
Drive Status Last Backup Next Backup Drive Size Used Space
<chk> (C:\) Backed up 11/22/2009 Sunday 1:00am 111.8GB 39.8GB
<?> (C:\) Backed up 74.5GB 67.5GB
<?> (F:\) Backed up 111.8GB 44.1GB
<?> PASSPORT_USB Backed up 465.8GB 79.0MB
<!> [New Volume] (G:\) Attention Needed 232.9GB 209.7GB
Please note 1) the duplicate C: drive, 2) the F: drive (which is a CD/DVD burner), and 3) the "PASSPORT_USB" drive.
The PASSPORT_USB drive was connected to this system for one day only, then removed, over a month ago.
1) Why is there a duplicate C: drive?
2) Why is the F: drive appearing when it has never been selected to be backed up?
3) Why are all of these saying "Backed up" when the F: and the PASSPORT_USB drive has never been, nor will they ever, be backed up?
4) Is there a way to clean up this list to get rid of drives that are no longer attached to the system?
Thank you for your help.
