I don't understand why the posts are so old. 2+ years is the most recent I see.
What is probably happening is that someone comes to the forums looking for a solution to a problem they are having. After using the forum search they post to a thread that is older without looking at the date of the original post.
Either that or you may have accidentally clicked on the forum filters at the right side of the thread listings and changed the display to previous years.
