@Miriam_Wild Follow these steps:
You need to completely remove the current 24.xx /25.xx version with the tool linked below. Then, download the installer for version 22.24.8.36 and immediately disable automatic updates. DO NOT allow it to run even once, and don’t run it manually. DO NOT run Smart Scan.

Use the Intelligent Updater to keep your virus definitions up to date: Download these definitions daily to stay current. Make sure you get the 64 bit definitions if you have a 64 bit installation else use the 32 bit.
