One Click Support since IE8 install

My NIS09 is ver. 16.5.0.135.  Since my install of IE8...One Click Support freezes.  OneClickSupport > Checking Norton Internet Security > Checking Your Product > Freeze.  One time message display was "Incorrect Definition Update Settings (could not duplicate).   Is this a known conflict with IE8 or some other issue with my NIS09?
