I recently upgrated to 360 Premier from 360. I attempted to activate online backup and ran into problems and ran into problems. So, I ran the Norton removal tool and reinstalled. I then activated the online backup and all seemed to be well. In fact, when I look at my backup account, it looks like the backup is there. However, two days later, the red X showed up in my system tray saying I needed to reactivate online backup. So, I did and it told me I had successfully reactivated - but the status in my account information shows not activated. When I try to reactivate again (from the software on my machine), I get the message "We are unable to proceed with Norton Account at this time. Please try again later."
I think this problem might be due to the fact that my old backup set is still showing when I log into my online backup account even though I deleted it using Windows explorer a couple of days ago.
How can I activate online backup so that it stays activated.
I'm running Vista Ultimate SP2.
Thanks.
Thanks, but I already did this once. It worked andi have a backup online but then the problem ocurred again. I still have a backup set online from my old 360 program in addition to the new one. Could that be causing the issue?
This seems to have worked. I was able to reactivate online backup. We'll have to see if it stays activated.
When I log into the Online Backup site there are two computers. For both, the "Back Up Now" and "Setting" buttons are not active. Don't understand why.
Also, the backup titled "Vassalotti-PC" is old and I'd like to delete that but have not been able to figure out how to do that. I don't seen any remove or delete options.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Klvassalotti,
You cannot delete the old Backup sets one by one. But you can see the old backup files under the Norton backup drive available in MY Computer or Open Manage Backup sets under Norton 360 backup. Click on the tab Where and and then in the left hand bottom corner you can see Norton Backed files. Where you can see all the files backed up earlier and delete them if you want.
If you want to purge all the old data and start freshuse the link below.
