(online) backup fails with Norton 360 Premier v6

Hi,

 

I just switched over from NIS to Norton 360, since it offers 25GB of online backup capacity. However so far I didn't succeed to create a succesful online backup. I keep on getting errors mentioning there is no connection. My internet connection works perfectly however. I have it running on a Windows Vista Home Premium (SP2). All MS updates are installed. I tried starting up again without luck. Strange is that from my wife's laptop (running on Windows 7), an online backup is running now  (no error message received so far; 22% copied and ongoing).

 

The backup to an external hard drives seamed to work perfectly (100% of files copied) but yet another error message appeared.

The backup failed since many files were designed to be encripted, allthough the concerned files are just .jpg files (simples pictures).

 

Any help to solve these issues would be very welcome !

Please provide us the exact error message that you get when you run backup to Online Storage. You may also check in Tasks > Check Security History for any possible errors reported for Backup. You can check in More Details and verify whether it logged any error code or error number.
