Online renewal from overseas

Hi guys,

I am originally from Australia and that's where I purchased Antivirus a year ago and now would like to renew over here in Peru.  When I try to do so I am taken to the Peruvian website which is in Spanish (my spanish is not good) and can't complete the billing address of my credit card because it lists only Latin American countries.

How can I renew through the Aussie or at least English language website?

Here's the link to the Norton Australian/New Zealand website:  http://www.symantec.com/en/au/index.jsp

If you have a way of paying in Australia -- eg a credit card -- you could try that and just use the KEY they would email you when you buy a copy online.

Anyway Hang on for a whle since there are some here who know the relationship between language and KEYs etc and mya have a more direct solution.

Keys are not country or language dependant. I installed a lot on different languages, from German, French, Dutch up to English, always using Dutch keys.

When on the Peru website, change your country to the one you want in the top of the screen and renew from there. You then get the right shop.

That's how I got the link to the Australian website ....

Ok, Hugh. I wanted to give him a more general way to renew, apart from the 'key story'.

Hello

Keys are now language dependent if you use the update center.

floplot,

Can you please explain a bit more. Under what circumstance and only with renwal, or what?

There was an official statement here a while ago, that keys were not language dependant.

Hello hvgsel

Keys can be used to activate the product in any language yes. If you speak English and want your product to be in English and you purchase the product in another language, that new key will activate your English version. However, the next time you have to use that key that came from the other language and you go to the update center, the program that will be downloaded to you, will be in that other language. This will only happen if you use the update center.  This is why they have this kb.
