OnlineFamily conflicts with AVG 8.5 LinkScanner

After installing AVG 8.5, IE 7 stopped working most of the time.  It would occasionally reach sites such as Google but most of the time it would continue trying with the progress bar at the bottom of the browser about half filled.  I installed IE 8 to see if it would make any difference.  It did not.

 

I uninstalled both OnlineFamily and AVG to make sure the browser worked and there was not a driver problem.  The browser resumed working correctly.  After reinstalling both products and rebooting as one of the posts here suggested, the browser started to hang again.  Then I disabled AVG Search-Shield and AVG Surf-Shield and browsing works fine.

 

I would like to get this corrected so I can use AVG LinkScanner with Norton OnlineFamily.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, we are aware of this issue and working on testing it in house to reproduce what you have been seeing.
