Whether you like this particular "actress" or not, the subject is not the problem; the website is.
Melissa Joan Hart has an official webpage; mellyjart.com when it loads it is housed by "ning.com"'
If you click "photos" and click "melissas photos" it takes you to a page with a bunch of thumbnails.; according to my Norton Internet Security 2010, it is saying the webpage is safe plus my actual application isnt giving me any notices that the page is unsafe.
Once you click on a thumnail of her pics; it will give you a slightly larger size. Again NIS 2010 says the page is safe and my computer isnt telling me there is a virus present.
Under the picture on the right hand side is another link that completely fills your PC screen, very large photo; once that loads up, NIS 2010 is telling me that the page/site has 2 possible viruses.
The site is coming from api.ning.com but really if you type in api.ning.com it brings you to homepage of ning.com; I honestly think api is the name of the host; for example you can have a homepage at ning.com so maybe in my case I can call it larrytolman.ning.com
The photo, once enlarged has a massive file path; it isnt as simple as "larrytolman.ning.com/files/image 31.jpg No the file path has an enormous length
Anyways so my point is; why would only half the website have viruses and the other half not? If Melissa Joan Hart's official webpage is off of ning.com and a picture is still hosted by ning.com and NIS 2010 doesnt say its bad but once you enlarge the photo it is bad; how can that be?
Do I have any permission to display the whole file path? I thought perhaps she recently loaded up a virus but even a picture that was uploaded last year, the webpage still shows it having viruses.
I do say though, again, that thankfully my computer isnt being affected at all. (hmm unless I try and download the pic...hold on...PHEW; ok it didnt download any viruses.
