Hi bjm_,
There are no compatibility issues with OpenDNS. It is an often recommended service that offers many useful features such as parental control site blocking. And it is free. I use OpenDNS and would certainly encourage you to try it if you have an interest in doing so.
Hi julio99,
Your screenshot isn't visible yet, but from "access blocked," I am going to assume this is a Norton Product Tamper Protection log entry - in which case, all that is happening is that the OpenDNS updater is attempting to access a Norton file or process and Norton is blocking it. This is normal - Norton protects itself from all outside agents, even Windows processes. These events do not prevent OpenDNS from operating normally and do not pose any problems for Norton, either. You can simply ignore them.
So the updater still runs then. Great! I think I was told that about CleanMem also, but those warnings blow me away!
Once your screenshot is approved and visible, I'll post back if it is something other than Tamper Protection, but I suspect that is what is going on and it is nothing to be concerned about. OpenDNS would continue to go on unhindered despite being barred from Norton's activities.
Yes, it's just Tamper Protection fending off an unwanted advance from OpenDNS updater. It should not cause any problems at all.
Thanks
