I installed and am using NIS2010- great job everyone!
The difference between NIS Optimization and regular disk defrag isn't clear to me. Anyone know?
Thanks!

There is none. The Optimize routine calls the regular OS defag utility. In XP, it only does the “Boot” section (C:\Windows for example). If you have a third party defragmentation utility, you may get better results using that.
You’re exactly right, dbrisendine. I just ran the “Optimize” feature and it calls up the defrag process. I decided to open up the defrag application and, sure enough, it was running. Interesting.
