I would like to see an option for Advanced users who want to have full control over detections, sometimes there are false positives for a "generic trojan" which are really not trojans, one example of this that I had was the team viewer setup program in version 3 and early in version 4
this became annoying for me because I would keep a copy on my flash drive and external hdd, so every time I plugged that in to any of my computers, it would get detected and quarantined without so much as a notification, only sometimes was there any type of systray popup alert... so I had to remember to check every time and see if it was in the quarantine and if so restore it by hand
there are numerous other examples of this with the 'hack tool' and other threat categories
and I also think that the way exclusions are handled could be changed to make it work better, for example when you add an item or category to the exclusion list, it would make a new item in a view that has multiple check boxes for " exclude from the following : scans / auto-protect / network / removable media / email / detection category"
this would allow you to have a single exclusion list,
it would also allow you to exclude a tool you might use on local hard drive, but still give you an alert if it is on someone's flash drive or via email..
it would also allow you to exclude a specific item/program from a category with excluding that entire category, and from a single exclusion list !
making it less complicated
