I have made the following instructions in macro, but when I use it in the forum, the list gets out of wack:
- First back up your ID Safe by going to vault open --> settings --> Export. Choose .csv and type a name in it. Click save.
- Download the Norton Removal Tool from www.norton.com/nrt. Download Norton AntiVirus from www.norton.com/nav20.
- Uninstall the program using the add / remove program. Reboot the PC.
- Run the Norton Removal Tool. It shouldn't prompt you to reboot the PC at this stage. It will simply launch a browser window. Close the window and reboot the PC.
- Go to C:\ProgramData and delete "Norton" and "NortonInstaller."
- Reboot the PC.
- Run the Norton AntiVirus y 2013 installer. Reboot the PC as prompted.
- Run LiveUpdate until it says no update needed. Reboot the PC as prompted.
- 6.Launch the program and make sure it's running 20.3.0.36 or later. As of March 6, 2013, Norton is currently holding back the 20.3.0.36 update for Norton Internet Security 2013. See the announcement here. This may change in the future.
- Once this is confirmed, reboot the PC to remove all the old files (I know that upon engine changes, there usually have two files. One is the old and the other is the new. Only a reboot will get rid of the old file).
