Internet Security for Mac 3 has been asking me to renew my subscription since 21 Aug 2010. I’ve now bought version 4 from a UK supplier, activated it and registered it, and although I uninstalled 3 before installing 4, I still get the same box demanding I buy a new sub key and the new NAV panel shows that the subscription expired on 21 Aug 2010. I seem to be able to run an update by refusing to subscribe and cancelling the renew sub panel (which is going to be very irritating longterm) but it won’t do a scheduled one – and I'm wondering if at some point soon it's going to refuse to update at all without a renewed sub key.
I tried to send an email to support about this, but it won’t send the form without an account ID or Serial number, and when I click ‘how do I find’ it tells me that Mac products don’t have one – so how do Mac owners email support? It also wants the email address used while placing the order, but surely people who have bought elsewhere than from the Symantec site should be able to email support? In fact I tried three times to renew the sub online but each time it was cancelled, so I didn't try to buy 4 online.
Can anyone on the forum help with the expired sub panel problem, please? All help gratefully received.
