Issue abstract: Outgoing email addresses won’t autocomplete when sending emails in gmail.

Detailed description: Over the weekend I downloaded Norton Security and a Norton utilities program and used some “cleaning” processes. When I had previously started the email address, gmail would complete the address. When attempting to send emails through gmail today, it no longer functions.

Are you using web based email, or an email client?

If web based, what may have happened is the browser cleaning in the Norton Utilities Ultimate, NUU, may have been a little too aggressive with what it cleaned. You need to be diligent when setting up NUU to ensure it does not clean things you need, such as browser caches.

Hopefully, as you continue to use your email, the email addresses stored in the browser cache will get populated again. Just be sure you go into NUU and stop it from cleaning your browser.
