Forgive me if this question has been asked before..I did a quick search and nothing seemed to come up.
I recently recieved a letter from Comcast saying that their Constant Guard identified that one or more of your computers may be infected with a "Bot". This so called Constant Guard seems to be a little buggy according to what I've read on Comcast's forum.
Anyhow, it kinda worried me and for the first time I decided to check the logs in my Norton Firewall..So far Norton has blocked all incoming Malicious attacks as to date...but when I clicked on "Vulnerability Protection" Outgoing, I have 11 attacks beginning from January 5th to Feb 8th..10 are "Malicious Toolkit Redirect's" and one is a "Malicious Toolkit Website 4". I guess what my question is..if these are in the outgoing catagory, does that mean that all this stuff has installed it's self on my Mac already and is sending information out? I don't understand because under "Action" they all have red X's which I assume means it's been blocked..so if they were all blocked in the first place then why are they classified as "Outgoing"? sorry, but I just don't understand what this all means.
Thanks
