Outlook 2010 deactivates the Norton add-in, plus other add-ins

My problem concerns ALL third part add-ins for Outlook 2010. I don't know how it happened, it was running great for a year. Now, when  I activate the Norton add-in (plus others) the Norton tab appears in the email view, and Norton for Outlook will work until I close Outlook. When I open up Oulook again, whether I reboot or not, none of the add-ins that I activated, including Norton, are still active and working. The Norton tab in the email view is gone and I need to go to Options and re-activate COM add-ins.

 

I tried to delete all temp files including EXD files > reboot > ran Office 2010 repair > reboot......and the problem persists.

I have run full Norton scan and there are no viruses etc

 

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and Office Professional Plus 2010, version 14.0.7015.000 32 bit.

 

By the way, I posted this about a week ago and then it seemed like it spontaneously resolved, so I closed the thread. I was wrong, by the next day the problem had recurred.

 

Does anyone have an answer for me? Please list it in a step by step easy form for I am only a novice-intermediate user.
