Outlook 2013 - Norton 360 AntiSpam Addon Issue

Hello,

I am using Norton 360 Premier and have Outlook 2013 (64 bit) installed on my machine. I can't seem to get the Norton Antispam plugin to work with Outlook. I tried re-installing Norton which didn't resolve the issue.The addon is present in the Outlook Addon List although the Location path is blank. Also, on the AntiSpam section of Norton 360, the settings for Outlook are inactive.

I would appreciate any suggestions to fix this.

Thank you,

Hi, what operating system are you running ?

I've notice in Win8 with outlook 2013 that outlook disables these plugin if it is slow to start.

I don't know why this happens but have been wondering if it is also related to my issue logged under "Random Stop of N360 on Win8". I say this because some of the times I've noticed my ICON disappear (N360 stop) it is after closing Outlook and then opening chrome so I'm thinking its some sort of sequencing issue that n360 doesn't handle.

It is difficult to correlate all system events and get an answer. My event log does show the disabling plug in events before the sequence that I put in my post.

Have you noticed N360 stopping ?

@peterweb

I tried running Norton as Administrator and am still being prompted with the inactive settings for Outlook

@Alihnz

I am running Windows 8 64 bit, 8 Gb memory, Intel Core i7.

I originally had Office365 installed which worked fine with outlook, and just installed Office 2013 64 bit. Do you think there is a a compatibility issue with 64 bit?

Thanks

You do not just run Norton as adminstrator, you have to be logged into a Windows with a user account that has administrative properties.
