Lately Outlook Express on my computer with the latest version of Norton 360 has been extremely slow downloading incoming email messages; when I look in the Properties of such a message I see too many "Symantec: TimeoutProtection lines". First of all, what is the purpose of timeout protection in Antivirus Properties in Norton? It is checked in my case. Secondly,is there anything that I can do about overcoming slow download and restore outlook express to what it had been in the past. Does the problem have anything to do with Norton Antivirus settings? I would very much appreciate help to resolve this issue. I unchecked Timeout Protection in email protection configuration but Norton turned red, alerting me to risks so I re-checked timeout protection.
My operating system is still Windows XP Pro (unfortunately), 32-bit, SP3
