Outlook send/receive not connecting

I am running a Macbook Pro laptop, Microsoft Outlook 365 and Norton Wi-Fi Privacy.  When VPN is on Outlook is not able to send or receive.  When Wi-Fi Privacy is turned off, mail connectivity returns.

In a 2nd issue I just encountered.  I could not log into this forum with VPN on; I had to turn it off to login and write this post.

Is this a bug in the problem?  If so, when will it be addressed?

I'm using Microsoft's Outlook mail client.

But who is your email provider? ie Gmail, Yahoo, or your ISP?

This is the only VPN product I have used.  I'm using Microsoft's Outlook mail client.  Yes, ir is only needed when not at home but I travel a great deal and the VPN behavior is irritating.

I'll try the uninstall/reinstall to see if that works.

Do you get any error messages when the email fails? I have seen the email issue with another VPN provider. They had to make some configuration change on my system to make it work. Are you using Microsoft mail or another email provider? I have trouble with Gmail when I turn on the VPN. Google's security flags unusual activity as it now seems I am across the world. I have to log into Gmail and verify it was me. I just try to remember to turn off NWP when I have my email active. You would really only need the VPN if you are not at home.

At least one other user has reported this here. I believe they contacted Norton Support about this.    www.norton.com/contactcs

Had you had another VPN on the system before trying Norton? If so, did you remove it, or just disable it?

Try uninstalling the Norton Wifi Privacy, NWP. Restart your computer, then reinstall NWP and test.
