Issue abstract: I read post saying that to resolve the issue I am having getting the outlook client to connect to the comcast imap server with the Norton VPN active, could be resolved implementing the split tunnel feature in the Norton VPN, when I try to do that, when I choose outlook but the OK button doesn’t work, any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

outlook.exe?

As bjm_ notes you have to exclude the outlook.exe file. Search in Windows Explorer to find it in Program Files > Microsoft Office.

That worked, thank you for your assistance

The drop-down menu could have made the process clearer

The latest Norton 360 with it’s Email Protection causes a problem with the VPN on and even with the outlook.exe exclusion in the Split Tunnel. You must turn off email protection. See my post on Cannot log in to email when VPN turned on - #14 by userharry

When I implement split tunnel, pointing to the location of the outlook.exe on my system, I can receive new emails but I can’t send new emails, is there another .exe file I need to include in the split tunnel settings?

@Dale_Naleway As a suggested test, review the screenshot below for my suggestion. Disable the two settings I have boxed and test, ONE at a time. Re-apply the settings if there are no changes to your mail issue.
