over-reporting Phishing? MAC

I just installed updates to my Norton Anti-Virus (MAC 10.6.8, Firefox 17.0.1).  Since then, I've gotten blocked everytime I try to follow a link to pages that I KNOW are safe (facebook.com, cnn.com, weather.com,).  I can direct-enter the URL of those sites and get it, but I can't get there via links from e-mail or other sites.  What's the issue??

(This is the exact message I got when clicking on a link on a twitter page--it's supposed to be taking me to a FB page.  I verified that I can open FB on my own in another window and navigate around just fine.  What's going on?  Oh, and I can't override it by clicking the "I Want to view this web site anyway" link--it takes me to a page that shows the FB connect logo and that's it)
