Overwhelmed & Lost

Greetings.

I am relatively new to Norton 360 with Life Lock but I looked for an answer to my question on Norton but there is just too much information that shows a promising outcome, only to go back & try another link.

I visit my local grocery store's website & whenever Norton's window is opened or a VPN, I can't login & the site errors out. A few times I've had no problems; lately it does it all the time. I'm using IE & the format is no longer supported so it is challenging to get my list ordered.

So, that being said, if it is Norton related (which I believe it is), is there a way to allow my grocer's to operate normally regardless if Norton is open or closed, or in VPN or not?

Thank you.

Hi Chiweenie,

If you're using Windows 7 or 8, I'd recommend looking at installing a different browser such as Firefox or Chrome rather than continue using Internet Explorer.  Its no longer supported by Microsoft and not considered Safe for online activity.  Its also becoming incompatible with many newer web sites.

Simply having Norton's user interface (window) displaying should not have any effect on your ability to connect to a web site.

Also, some web sites do not allow the use of VPN's when logging into your account.  You'd need to contact the web site administrator (usually a link at the bottom of the page) and see what their policy is regrading the use of VPN's.
