Paid, but my subscription isn't renewed

Received a message that my NIS sub needed to be renewed, so I clicked the link to do so, went in, entered a ccard, and completed the transaction, order number [Removed].

My NIS is still not activated.  Unfortunately, the email account on this account hasn't been in use for well over a year, and I have no clue what password I used to set this up under, so if there was an activation code or something sent, or that I can get from my account, I can't get it.  I sort of expected my NIS to talk to the server and update itself automatically when I paid.

The customer service chat thing was of less than no help, and I am honestly wondering if I need to contact my ccard company at this point.

Any help would be dearly appreciated.
