I suggest that Norton/Symantec should participate in AV-Comparatives and all other testing programs. This participation shows users that the company is transparent and has nothing to hide.

If the playing field is level and accurately reported then third party testing can provide a degree of confidence for users looking for a better product.
If I remember the original discussion on this topic Norton provided a clear, logical reason for not participating. If the testing facility hasn't changed their ways then I'm going to guess that Norton isn't going to chage its mind.
