Partition Magic will not partition properly

I'm trying to add space to my C partition by moving about 9 gigs from my D partition. However when I check the partition for errors with the Partition Magic utility or when when I actually try to perform the operation I get an error message. It's from the D partition error number 1527,Bad update sequence error. When I open Partitionmagic,Partition info,I check under the D partition and it says there is an error in the Extended partition which has a size of 7.8 mbs. At the top of the page in the in the Disk and partition error box it states ,     Info: MBR Partition Table not in sequential order.I didn't know that this partition has MBR table since it is not the partition the OS boots from.
I  performed chkdsk with windows and get no error messages from that.I also booted from the floppies I created with Partition magic and still get the 1527 error .I Also contacted PM support they suggested moving the contends of the D partition to my external drive then move them back after I performed the partition operations that I want to do. Then he said it might crash the computer because I have folder such as My documents on the D partition, like they are part of the operating system.I'm not too sure he is correct about this. He says to contact Sony about this problem.Any suggestions on what to do to correct the problem? My C drive currently has a total of 15 gigs and the D has about 40 gigs.7.15 gigs are free on the C drive and 34.7 are free on D.
