Yes it is still in it

No it isn't.   It was removed when you upgraded or installed Norton 360.

The new functionality is called Identity Safe and the stored logon information from Password Manager is not compatible, even though you are led to believe that when you upgrade.

I'm pretty upset right now.   Over 300 stored logons are now in the Identify Safe database, but they create all kinds of problems when accessing web pages.   Identity Safe indiscriminately fills in fields on subsequent pages when it shouldn't be filling in anything at all.

I've spoken to Norton Customer Support and after thirty minutes of trying to explain the problem gave up.

Now I simply want to erase all the stored logon information and start over. . . but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that easily.   Any help with this issue would be most appreciated.

they sure didn’t tell me not to delete the thing from works and I don’t see it any where in the 360. Though this program is suppose to be their best to date it sure is missing alot of things, alot of control and the like, and really is a step backwards

What do you miss?

What would you like to have exactly?

It looks like you had Norton Password Manager before. As you experienced, installing Norton 360 will uninstall Norton Password Manager. The Identity Safe feature in Norton 360 will allow you to import the passwords stored in Password Manager. It looks like you were able to do that. However, it looks like you ran into problems while auto-filling sites. Could you please tell us which sites you had problems with? It will allow us to help you by giving you suggestions.

Thank you for your response.

Again, for the benefit of everyone who have not read this thread:   I upgraded from Norton SystemWorks 2006 to Norton 360.  During this upgrade, the installer gave me the option to save my Password Manager stored passwords.   I did this.  However, when IdentitySafe uses these stored passwords, it causes problems.   See below.

I have over 300 passwords stored for a variety of web sites.    When I visit a web site and them move from the home page to subsequent pages, certain fields are erased and filled in with meaningless information.

For example, on one particular web site, the home page username and password were filled in correctly by Identity Safe.  When i moved to a subsequent page that listed an email address, Identity Safe erased the email address and automatically filled it in with my username from the home page . .

It does this for every web site . . .  I can't give you each individual web site . . . doing that would take me the rest of the day . . .anyway that's the issue.

Also, when I spoke to Symantec Reps, they stated that Password Manager data is NOT importable to Identity Safe.  This seems to contradict your statement.

Hi Slammer01,

I'm sorry that you received incorrect information regarding the data saved by Password Manager and importing to Identity Safe. As you have experienced, you are able to import the Password Manager data into Identity Safe.

Please provide the exact URL of the sites where you are seeing this problem with filling usernames incorrectly. If you are able to post a screenshot of this problem as well, that too would be helpful. Thanks!

I don’t even see this “idenity safe” any where in this program so where exactly is it? wheres the password manager? and when are you fixing this crappy program. this is the worse Nortons I have ever seen

I'm sorry you feel this way. Identity Safe can be accessed a few ways. One is through the Norton Toolbar, which is added to both the Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers. Another way is through the Settings link on the Norton 360 main screen. You can "Setup Identity Safe" on the settings page. Norton Password Manager is not a compontent of Norton 360 v2. However, Identity Safe will allow you to use the passwords from Norton Password Manager in this new component. Thanks!
