Password printout

I’d like to be able to print off a list of all my sites and their respective passwords. With Identity Safe, it seems I can only copy and paste one at a time. How can I pull up a page with everything on it and hit print?

Hi Sally,

Welcome to the Norton Community. Which Norton product do you have and the exact version which you can get from Help > About or Support > About? Also what version of Windows do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?

If you have NIS (Norton Internet Security) 2011 you can follow the procedure at the link below to export your ID safe passwords to a clear text CSV file. Follow the procedure on the top where it says "subscription is expired".

http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&selected_nav=&pvid=&docurl=20090910140508EN

Please note that the path to COExport.exe will have 18.x.x.x as part of the path instead of 17 if you have NIS 2011.

If you have NIS 2010 or earlier, this procedure will only let you export to a CSV file if your subscription is expired but with 2011 that restriction is no longer in place (the document just has not been updated by Symantec yet).

If you do have NIS 2010 or older we recommend that you upgrade to NIS 2011 to get the latest version which is free if your subscription is current. This has the added advantage of allowing you the capaibility to export to a CSV file asa previously mentioned.

Please note that since you will be exporting to a clear text file you need to be very careful about where you save the data. I would recommend something like a USB flash drive which is not normally plugged in to your computer. Be sure to completely remove the CSV file for your security when you are done with it.

So please confirm the Norton product you have and if you do not have the latest version we will be happy to assist you in upgrading your Norton product.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Allen

Thanks. I have the NIS 2011 with Windows XP and IE 2007. Off to try your suggestion now.

Hi Sally,

I'll be wating to see your results.

Can you confirm your version of NIS from Support > About? Also when you say IE 2007, do you mean IE 7, IE 8 or what? Also do you have SP 3 on your Windows XP?

Thanks and best wishes.

Allen

HI Sally,

Just wanting to close the loop. Did this work out for you?

Best wishes.
