I switched from Firefox’s built in password manager to NIS2009’s Identity Safe login feature. While it generally works as I expected, I was shocked when I saw how easy it was to display the passwords from all my logon’s from the Manage Login’s dialog. It is one thing to have someone sit down at my computer and navigate to a site for which I have a stored login and have it automatically filled out. I can solve that by logging out of Identity Safe. What concerns me is the relative ease by which passwords can be toggled on and off in the Manage Logins dialog accessible from the “Norton” button on the Norton toolbar. I think that toggle should require another entry of the Identity Safe password at the very least similar to the way the Firefox password manager requires re-entry of the master password in order to display the actual passwords of all managed login’s.
