Password wrong but right

Hello,
Norton 360 on my Windows 10 PC seems to be blocking access to a crucial server for a website I need to use for work. I wanted to change the firewall settings, but now I am being prompted to enter a password. I only have one password for Norton—the same one I use to log into my account via the Norton website—yet the Norton app on my computer won’t accept it. And yes, I made sure I was typing it correctly. Are there two different passwords? I’m at the point where I want to uninstall Norton, but that also requires a password, and again, the password that is actually correct isn’t being accepted. Can you help me with this?

Best regards

@DeKW2020 The password for changing Norton settings has to be set by the user at some point and time. To prevent unauthorized changes to settings. There should have been a separate password, different from your password for your Norton account created. Did you register that in a safe place?

IF, you set that password as the same as your Norton account. check to see whether you are logged into Norton via your main Norton UI. *Refer to my screenshot.

Thank you, I could solve the problem. Best Greetings!

So what actually is your status with this? Solved or? Just clarifying.

If you are not using a Windows Admin user account, you well be prompted for the Windows Admin Account password to access the Norton Settings.
