To use Norton Password Manager autofill in a private or incognito window, you must manually enable the Norton Password Manager browser extension to run in that specific browsing mode within your browser’s settings. By default, most browsers disable extensions in private windows for privacy reasons.

Steps to Enable the Extension

The exact steps vary slightly by browser:

• Google Chrome / Norton Private Browser:

  1. Open Chrome/Norton Private Browser.
  2. Click the three-dots (Customize and control) icon in the top-right corner, then select Settings.
  3. In the left-hand menu, click Extensions.
  4. Find the Norton Password Manager extension and click on Details (or a similar option).
  5. On the extension’s details page, find and enable the option for “Allow in incognito” (the slider should turn blue/green).
  6. Close and reopen the private window for the change to take effect.

• Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner, then click Add-ons (or press Ctrl+Shift+A).
  3. On the Extensions tab, click on Norton Password Manager.
  4. Scroll down to the “Run in Private Windows” section and select “Allow”.

• Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open Edge.
  2. Click the three-dots (Settings and More) icon in the top-right corner, then select Extensions.
