This is not a new version. I have already installed 22.17.1.50. Today the version has not changed. It remains 22.17.1.50
This patch is ONLY available via LiveUpdate, and is being released in a phased manner. You may need to run LiveUpdate and reboot a few times before your product is completely updated to the latest version.

I'm not sure about this. There have been 2 patches recently and haven't seen any announcements about them. I have noticed something new though. If you look at the main page of the program and click on More Norton on the lower right side, you will find some information about LifeLock since that is now owned by Symantec.
